Project description
The project consisted of the development and production of a battery pack according to customer specifications with all certifications incl. UN38.3 test as well as the necessary securities for applications in the window.
The special challenge was to develop a battery for outdoor use that would meet the customer’s high requirements and also withstand extreme weather conditions (hot summers, cold winters). In doing so, we secured him a clear advantage over the competition.
Focus of research
Our goal was to completely develop the battery design, the protection electronics, the housing and the appropriate holder ourselves, in order to ensure the required safety and to enable flawless use in the application. A special research focus was the simulation of the different temperature conditions, which served to find an optimal solution for the customer.
Our Solution
The rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack 1S1P with 3.6V/2.6Ah as well as our specially developed protection electronics with single cell monitoring for protection against over- or deep discharge, short-circuit as well as overtemperature built into the battery, including cable and plug.
The battery was designed, developed and certified by us from prototype to series production with all necessary safety features to meet the defined use of the customer.
